What is SCUBA certification, and what does it take to become certified?
There are two main bodies that do certification, which are PADI and NAUI. While PADI is the more popular, either will get you certified to SCUBA dive. These days, you need to have your Open Water Diver card to even get Air for your tanks! (Although some places will let your by pass this) Basiclly, you go to school for a period of weeks (My Open Water course was 8 weeks once a week) and learn all about the great sport, saftey, ETC. All it really takes is time, money and a willingness to learn! But STUDY this stuff, because one mis-calculation one your Dive Tables can EASILY result in DEATH.
