What is scratch resistant coating?
This coating is very helpful in reducing most ordinary scratches on plastic lenses. It must be made clear that lenses are in no way considered to be “scratch proof”. Only minor abrasions are controlled by the use of this coating and usually the life of the lenses can be extended. Color Tinting Both glass and plastic can be treated so as to have a light or dark tint applied. In glass, it is a surface applied coating and in plastic, a dye is adsorbed through the pores at high temperature.
