Most require an ID for certain metals (i.e. copper) Most places will give you higher rates for Copper, Brass, Silver, Gold(if they accept it), Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Tin. Then there is scrap steel, scrap iron, and dirty metal (metal that they’ll take but is pot metal, low grade metals, metal with grime on it, or plastic).
