What is scientific inference?
There are many types of scientific inferences or inferences used in science. — the usual logical inferences, — statistical inferences (a big subject in statistics) and finally empirical inferences. Empirical inferences have been discussed for at least 400 years and the empirical inferences will be discussed surely for the next 400 years. An empirical inference is the process of reaching a valid conclusion from empirical data, and/or observations and only from empirical data, and/or observations.
