During a period from May 2005 through September 30, 2006, Missouri drivers meeting specific driving history and driving experience criteria were able to “grandfather” to obtain the new S endorsement. As of September 30, 2006, grandfathering is no longer an option. All new S endorsement applicants are required to complete the applicable written/skills tests to obtain a license with the S endorsement.
