What is Scheuermanns kyphosis?
This is a deformity where the kyphosis is not as flexible. A patient with Scheuermann’s kyphosis will actually have structural problems to include wedging of the vertebral bodies. The vertebral body will become trapezoid-shaped, instead of being rectangular. The disc space narrows and there is abnormal growth along the vertebral bodies. This results in structural deformity of the spine.
