What is SCATT Clinical Teacher Training?
This three hour course focuses on the role of certified teachers as mentors. The SCATT Clinical Educator Training Course is designed to meet the State of Florida requirement for Clinical Educator Training. Clinical Educator training is required to host interns (“student teachers”) or mentor new teachers. The SCATT Clinical Educator Training Course will enhance your ability to coach or mentor fellow teachers, through diagnosis, conferencing, developing professional development plans and interpersonal communication skills. This course also prepares you to work most effectively with USF interns, giving you insight into the pre-service preparation model and the evaluation instruments used by USF.
