• With Crystal Reports (CR), SAP can offer the de-facto industry standard for enterprise reporting. • Crystal Reports will be the flagship product for Formatted Reporting going forward. There will be a premium enterprise reporting version as well as a base version for NetWeaver BI. • The base version will have the same functionalities as the CR full product, but will be restricted to SAP NetWeaver BI queries and views. Release is planned for 2010 at the earliest. • Crystal Report for SAP NetWeaver BI (aka Crystal Light or Crystal Base) will be available as part of the NW licence to all NW customers. • Crystal Report for SAP NetWeaver BI will be limited to 50 productive reports • Until then, BEx Report Designer will remain in the NetWeaver BI portfolio for lightweight reporting on NetWeaver BI data.
