Implementing ERP will make the organization work on the same platform there wont be anything different by each of the department. there would be a business process which will understand the market needs and understand the #C of vehicles to be manufactured in the upcoming year and then the supply chain team which looks after the procurement of raw material and converting it to the finished goods will see to that the raw material vendor will provide the quality needed, within the time limit,etc.
