What is Sagard’s investment objective?
Sagard invests in companies to provide them with the resources they need to achieve their strategic goals, and assists them throughout the project. Sagard offers a financing alternative to the stock market and the banks, but we add much more than just funding. We give portfolio company management teams the full benefit of our energy and our experience—coupled with the experience of our partners—and the strength of our network to ensure that their projects succeed. The Faiveley Transport transaction is a good example. We supported Fran çois Faiveley and Faiveley Transport management in their plan to grow their business by buying the Swedish company Sab Wabco. Our current goal is to help them integrate the two units in order to strengthen the enlarged group’s global leadership.
