What is Safer Blaenau Gwent Community Safety Partnership?
Community Safety is more than just tackling crime and disorder, it’s about how people feel in their own communities and everyone, including you, has a role to play in making your community a safe place to live, work and visit. Safer Blaenau Gwent aims to work within your community to address your concerns and your priorities. The Crime and Disorder Act 1998, made it a statutory duty for Public Services to work in partnership to tackle crime, anti-social behaviour and substance misuse across the County Borough. The Safer Blaenau Gwent Community Safety Partnership is made up of different authorities, including: • Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council • Gwent Police Authority • Aneurin Bevan Local Health Board • South Wales Fire Authority We recognise that no one agency can tackle crime and anti-social behaviour alone. Working in partnership allows us to combine the expertise and resources needed to meet the needs and priorities of your communities.
