What is Safe Surf?
CanWAN.com has implemented a filtering system in an effort to help protect our customers from websites that may be dangerous to their computer(s). A very similar concept to the virus and spam filtering that we provide as a basic level of protection on our Email server. The Safe Surf service is similar in concept to the virus and spam filtering that we provide as a basic level of e-mail protection. And is aimed at blocking access to web sites that may potentially expose the viewer to: Spyware / Trojans / Virus’ / Phishing While every attempt is being made to reduce the possibility of over filtering destination addresses, some customers my wish to opt out of this feature. To opt out of the Safe Surf feature please have the account holder send an email to safesurf@canwan.com Include your account number, a reply confirmation will be sent when the programming has been completed.
