What is runner spacing and why is it important?

Most Pre-manufactured sheds and garages have 2 to 7 pressure treated 4×4 runners that are used for blocking and strapping for delivery. This is important because the tracks on the bed of a shed delivery trailer are 6 feet apart, therefore the runners that ride in the trailer must not be further apart than 6 feet (72 inches) outside to outside of the 4×4. We have moved many buildings that did not have runners or were not properly spaced. We can add runners if necessary but it must be figured into the cost of the move and the driver needs to know ahead of time in order to bring the runners with him.
