What is RTG?
FMC uses a system called Remote Tank Gauging (RTG) to monitor customer hydrogen peroxide storage tank levels. Tank level signals are recorded and a scaled signal is periodically transmitted via phone lines to a central database. FMC distribution personnel monitor tank levels stored in the database and schedule deliveries based on pre-determined reorder points. FMC completely manages the whole process, allowing the customer to devote resources and energy to more value-added tasks.
