The roof pitch refers to the angle or the steepness of the roof. A carpenter’s square can be used to find the angle of the roof by measuring out from roof a level 12″ and the down measurement gives you the rise (first number of pitch measurement). Most of our cupolas are designed for a roof pitch up to 10/12, but if your roof is steeper you can order extension bases in wood or vinyl to fit your cupola to roof pitch of 12/12, 14/12 and 16/12.
