What is Roe v Wades significance?
The Roe v. Wade ruling was significant because, coming from the Federal Supreme Court, it set precedent over all jurisdictions in the USA, and the Roe vs. Wade ruling still stands today. Furthermore, the Supreme Court explicitly ruled that no state or local laws and ordinances could be passed to circumvent, retard, or otherwise interfere with a woman’s access to abortion. In short, the ruling legalized abortion everywhere across the entire country, and it remains legalized today.
