What is it? File and Print Sharing allows you to share your files and printer with other customers, via the Internet, including the ability to read, view, write to, modify or copy the files, and/or print them. What are the security risks associated with it? File and print sharing increases the risk that other Internet users can gain access to any of the files on your computer’s hard drive. There are other, more secure ways to share your files with other Internet users – emailing those files you want to share with someone else directly to that person; or, configuring your computer to require the use of a password to access your files. What is Time Warner Cable’s policy? To enhance the security of the Road Runner network, it is our policy to disable this feature for all residential customers.
