Resolution independant artwork is artwork that is suitable for each resolution. What you design in Illustrator is printable on your own office printer but it’s suitable for press as well. Illustrator artwork can easily be scaled without losing it’s quality. This keeps it perfect for print: the printability is not affected. Artwork that you create during the Illustrator course will not become vague and blotty when you scale it, unlike what happens when you upscale in Photoshop. Have a look at the following example.
