What is required to take courses at another institution?

0

Students planning to take courses at ANY other school must complete the Authorization to Take Courses Elsewhere form. A description of the course must be provided with the form for any school other than Virginia Community Colleges. Once the course is completed with a grade of C or better, the student must have an official transcript sent from the registrar at the school they are attending to VT Registrar. A student may not receive credit for course work taken at another college or university during any period in which the student has been placed on suspension by Virginia Tech for academic or disciplinary reasons.
