What is required to maintain my certification status?
Certification must be renewed every three years to maintain certified status. Renewal involves either retaking and passing the Examination within one year prior to the expiration date or participating in 45 contact hours of continuing professional education. Specific provisions related to renewal are contained in the Renewal Application for the Program, available from this web site. Failure to renew the certification results in removal of the designation. To regain the designation, the individual must retake and pass the certification exam.
