The Traffic Control Technician classification is offered by the Evergreen Safety Council as an entry-level position. To be recognized as a Traffic Control Technician (TCT) under the Evergreen Safety Council’s program, these requirements must be met: A current Flagger Certification Card recognized by the Department of Transportation. Successful completion of the TCS course and exam with a score of 80% or better. Advancement to certified Traffic Control Supervisor is accomplished by accumulation and documentation of one year experience in Traffic Control related tasks* (2000 work hours = 1 year, may be accumulated over multiple years).
