Power boilers are required to be inspected annually, except that power boilers with a rated steaming capacity of 300,000 pounds per hour or more are permitted to receive a certificate (internal) inspection not to exceed twenty-four (24) months, subject to the following conditions: • A written request for an extension beyond the annual certificate (internal) inspection shall be submitted by the owner or user to the rules board (BPV division). • An inspection report from the responsible inspector must be submitted with the request from the owner or user. • A document, such as a letter from the inspection agency, signed by a responsible person of that agency attesting to: The inspection report submitted by the inspector may be utilized for the documentation above required.
