What is required to exit the cable at the gas meter? Does it exit through the meter into a box?
The conduit exits a service line upstream of the meter through special fittings designed by Sempra Broadband. The plastic conduit is fully encased in metal, so it’s protected and covered from sunlight and physical damage. The conduit can exit above or below ground depending on customer preference. The conduit that enters a building is separate from the conduit in the pipe, so there’s no chance that leaking gas could ever migrate into the building.
