What is required to enable Single Sign-On for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12?
By default, E-Business Suite Release 12 authenticates users against its internal user repository (FND_USER). E-Business Suite Release 12 may optionally be integrated with Oracle Single Sign-On 10g and Oracle Internet Directory 10g, parts of Oracle Identity Management. For integration steps, see Integrating Oracle Application Server 10g with Oracle E- Business Suite Release 12 (Metalink Note 376811.1). When integrated with these components, E-Business Suite Release 12 delegates user authentication to Oracle Single Sign-On 10g. User administration, including password resets, may be managed in Oracle Internet Directory 10g. For conceptual information about the various scenarios for managing users and passwords in this integrated architecture, see the “Oracle Single Sign-On Integration” chapter in Oracle Application System Administrator’s Guide – Release 12 (Part No. B31451).
