• Apply online and pay the fee for an electrical contractor license. • Submit the following items together in a packet to L&I by mail or in person in one of L&I’s local offices. • The Application for Electrical Contractor’s License. • The Assignment of Administrator’s/Master Certificate form designating an Administrator or Master Electrician. • An original, current surety bond to the state of Washington. OR assignment of savings account. • If you are going to hire employees you will also need an Industrial Insurance account. • NOTE: If you are doing other non-electrical type work you may also need to be registered with the Contractor Registration Section as well.
