What is required for permit submittal?
Naturally the permit information required varies according to the complexity of the improvement. For the typical residential improvement you are required to submit the general building permit application, a zoning application, plats of survey indicating location of construction, detailed building plans and engineering site plans. Due to the volume of applications, only complete submittals will be accepted. For non-residential projects, i.e. large commercial additions, new industrial buildings, stamped sets of plans and the main building permit application need to be submitted to begin the review process.
