What is reported in electronic format library materials expenditures?
Report operating expenses for electronic or digitized materials (include materials the library digitized), whether purchased or leased. Do not include operating expenditures for library system software and microcomputer software used only by the library staff or fees for TexShare databases. Electronic materials include: • E-books, • E-serials (including journals) • Government documents • Databases (including locally mounted, full text or not) • Electronic files • Reference tools • Scores • Maps • Pictures Electronic materials can be distributed in many ways, including: • Magnetic tape • Diskettes • Computer software • CD-ROMs • Other portable digital carrier Electronic materials can be accessed via a computer, the Internet, or by using an e-book reader.
