Regenerative Biology is an emerging multidisciplinary field growing out of discoveries in molecular, cellular and developmental biology over the past four decades. Research in Regenerative Biology now encompasses cellular and molecular biology, developmental biology, stem cell biology, immunology, and polymer chemistry. The basic research being done now may evolve in directions leading to Regenerative Medicine of the future with eventual incorporation into disease prevention and treatment.
