What is Regenerate Pennine Lancashire?
Regenerate Pennine Lancashire is the new name for Elevate East Lancashire (Elevate). Regenerate Pennine Lancashire is the organisation which is co-ordinating the Housing Market Renewal programme in Pennine Lancashire. Regenerate Pennine Lancashire acts as an intermediary between Communities and Local Government (CLG) which is a department of Central Government, and the local councils. It aims to oversee the housing markets renewal projects and investment from regional agencies, the private sector and other Government departments. With funding of £100 million over the next two years, Regenerate Pennine Lancashire will work with the local councils of Rossendale, Burnley, Hyndburn, Blackburn with Darwen and Pendle and also alongside Lancashire County Council to help deliver an ambitious programme to revitalise unpopular neighbourhoods and to tackle low demand housing markets.
