What is referred to as Food Starch?
The unqualified term “Food Starch” means corn starch. Starch from other sources must be designated by the source – potato starch, etc. Starch that has been hydrolyzed is “Modified Food Starch”. In lesser quality meats, food starch is used to extend the meats weight by retaining many verdana its weight in water.
