What is recovery like following liposuction?
Patients usually go home the same day following liposuction. We use sutures that are absorbable and do not need to be removed. Many patients return to work in 5-10 days. This again depends on which areas were treated. Most swelling and bruising will subside within several weeks. You will be given a compression garment to wear for 3-4 weeks following liposuction. The compression garment facilitates tissue healing and resolution of swelling.
