What is really the difference between perfume and cologne?

Perfumes and Colognes , both trigger our strongest, fastest sense – the sense of smell, Both differ in a few ways, but the most obvious is that colognes are weaker in odour, Perfume is the strongest and therefore the longest lasting fragrance available, Cologene, which is a bit weaker, is mischaracterizes as a men’s product, With a view to making the scent linger on for more duration, all the perfumes have three layered fragrance, In the perfume industry these layers are called notes, there is a top note consisting of the most volatile of the scent that will last only for a few hours (perhaps to get you through your morning break ),a middle not made of less volatile scent that may fade out only at the end of your working hours and a base note that will follow you into your shower or tub, before bed !!
