What is REALLY the difference between American Red Cross (ARC) classes and American Heart Association (AHA) classes?

0

There are similar classes for all of the American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid classes in the American Heart Association. The primary reason we teach both is because we have instructors who are solely certified in one or the other. To make it easier for you the classes are listed the same on this website (AHA Adult CPR or ARC Adult CPR), even though they are given different names by each organization they represent the same level of skill proficiency. The only class labeled differently between the two is BLS (Basic Life Support) for the Healthcare Provider (AHA), which is the analogous to CPR for the Professional Rescuer taught by the American Red Cross.
