The protests are because of that, and if you hear things about boycotting the Olympics, that has to do with it too. The Olympics this year is in Beijing. The Chinese Government has spent who knows how much on building an extravagant stadium and such, to impress the world and show the world “how good of a country they are.” They’ve even gone so far as banning cars the month of the Olympics, so that the smog will die down, since some athletes have asthma and China wants to make sure that the world sees them as a good people.
