What is Read to Succeed and the Six Flags Six Hour Reading Club?
Top “Read to Succeed is a free educational program sponsored by Six Flags theme parks to encourage reading for fun. The program contains classroom materials to supplement language arts curriculum. As part of the program, the Six Flags Six Hour Reading Club inspires kids in grades K through 6 to engage in recreational reading. Students who complete six hours of recreational, non-school-related reading are eligible to earn a free admission ticket to a participating Six Flags theme park, provided the school’s paperwork is submitted accurately and on time. Teachers whose classes participate are also eligible to earn a free ticket. Only students and teachers in schools that are registered and receive the printed program are eligible to participate. Students and teachers can only earn one ticket each. Schools new to the program must be within a 150-mile radius of a participating Six Flags theme park in order to participate.
