What is RCN?
The Rural Community Network (RCN) is a voluntary organisation established by local community organisations to articulate the voice of rural communities on issues relating to poverty, disadvantage and community development. Formed in 1991, we are a membership organisation with over 450 members. RCN is managed by a voluntary committee, elected every 2 years, made up of 2 community representatives from each of the 6 counties along with farming, environmental, district council, cross border and voluntary organisations representatives. We attempt to reflect a broad geographical, gender and religious mix in our membership and committee.
