What is RAW or JPG, and what does it mean to my pictures?
RAW format graphics are the highest quality digital images available. They encode ‘statistics’ from the camera such as the aperture, shutter speed, film ISO setting and white balance to the image file. With these settings attached to the file, they can be edited with special software later. RAW format images can only be viewed by this software and are not easy to share or print. JPG format graphics are the most common digital images today. A slightly compressed image works great for printing, sharing over the internet and emailing to friends and family. KrazyBird Photography uses the highest quality 10 MP JPG format for all delivered DVD’s or CD’s.
