What is RAINs relationship with the Dayton Hamvention?
A.: RAIN maintains an informal relationship with the Hamvention to record forums each year for the use of the RAIN Report. Acoustek Productions cooperates fully in providing audio from the forum rooms for RAIN’s exclusive use. The public setting of these forums precludes the necessity of securing written releases from forum speakers. However, out of courtesy to and appreciation for those presenters whose talks meet RAIN criteria, Hap Holly, KC9RP, makes every attempt to contact them prior to excerpting their presentations.
