What is “R-Value” versus “Reflective Value”?
R-Value is a rating of how long heat/cold takes to transfer through, let’s say a home’s exterior wall. “Reflective Value” is a NON transfer of heat/cold and really works better in the spa concept. Fully foamed spas actually act a conductor of heat loss when a leak occurs and the foam is saturated. Look at your portable cooler, double pane window and amount of insulation in the refrigerator and stove. Don’t be misled by energy savings estimates.
