What is Quick Connect? How much time will I save?

Quick Connect shortens the amount of time required for your modem to connect to our servers. With other modem standards, the “handshake” process (the noise you hear while the modem is connecting) routinely takes 25 seconds or longer to complete. Quick Connect shortens this process to an average of 5 to 10 seconds by remembering most of the handshake process between connection sessions. It is then not necessary to do a “full handshake” every time you dial in and connect to the Internet.
