What is Q-Tussin Used For?
Q-Tussin is used to relieve a dry cough and helps to loosen phlegm and mucous in the lungs so you can cough-up (expectorate) mucous. How To Use Q-Tussin Take each dose of Q-Tussin with a full glass of water. Water will also help break-up the mucous and clear congestion. Drink plenty of fluids while taking Q-Tussin, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. Do not take Q-Tussin for a chronic, persistent cough such as occurs with smoking or asthma unless directed by your doctor. If the cough lasts for more than one week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by a fever, headache or rash, consult your doctor. Q-Tussin Side Effects Q-Tussin may cause stomach upset or rash.
