Here is the best description of what PUSH email is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Push_email Basically it is the ability of the server and client to work together so that as new email comes in they immediately show up on the client. FlexMail supports two kinds of PUSH email: Exchange ActiveSync and IMAP IDLE. Exchange ActiveSync is handled by Windows Mobile itself while IMAP IDLE is handled by FlexMail natively. For IDLE to work your IMAP server needs to support this feature. It keeps a constant open connection to your server to receive notifications of new email. IDLE status is shown in FlexMail with green diamonds on each folder/account that it is enabled and working.
