What is Purbeck District Council doing to stop littering?

We currently have 365 litter bins distributed through out Purbeck, as well as no littering signs. Our contractors SITA have an organised programme of litter picking through out the District, working to a programme of street cleansing, while also concentrating on litter hotspots. Under new legislation we can also issue fines for persons caught litter, either while on foot or in their vehicle.
