What is proxy voting?
Proxy voting is where a member who is entitled to vote at a general meeting of the incorporated association authorises in writing another person to vote on his/her behalf at a general meeting. An incorporated association may or may not permit the use of proxy voting at meetings of the association but the rules/constitution must state whether members are entitled to vote by proxy at general meetings. If the rules permit proxy voting, they should also include the form to be used by members for appointing a proxy.
