Yes, current Gatwick Express employees will be separate from Southern employees in the sense that they will have separate sets of terms and conditions when the transfer takes place. During dual running new employees within either brand would enjoy the terms and conditions relevant to that brand. Southern is currently working on what the position will be terms of internal staff moves after 22nd June. It is unlikely that drivers will be facilitated to move between the two brands under the PT&R arrangements, as this would not be viable from a business prospective. It is also true that there that relate to pensions which may present a barrier to facilitating other grades to move between the two brands whilst the pension sections remain separate.
