What is Prop. 36/SACPA (Substance Abuse and Crime Prevention Act)?
The Prop. 36/SACPA (Substance Abuse and Crime Prevention Act) was on the ballot in November 2000. The voters passed it by about 60%, and the law went into effect in July 2001.
