What is Pronoun Antecedent Agreement?
A pronoun antecedent agreement is when the pronoun agrees in number and person to the antecedent. For example, this sentence is wrong: Everyone should sleep in their own room. This sentence is right: Everyone should sleep in his or her own room. Everyone is an antecedent and is singular, so the pronoun should be singular, too.
