These actions are necessary for economic prosperity, however they have impacted our air, soil, vegetation, waterways, and wildlife. Urban forestry strives to minimize these impacts by focusing on the benefits that trees and other vegetative cover provide to create a healthy balance between man and nature. HOW CAN I HELP?… • Plant a tree or try to avoid cutting down trees on your property. Instead of removing a troublesome tree, consider having it pruned by a certified arborist. • Promote civic league, neighborhood association, school, or business involvement.
