What is Project Interchange?
Founded in 1982, Project Interchange became an educational institute of the American Jewish Committee in 1992. Project Interchange organizes intensive educational seminars in Israel that provide current and emerging United States and international leaders with an enhanced understanding of, and perspective on, Israel and the pursuit of Middle East peace. The week-long educational seminars expose leaders to the realities that are evident only upon a first-hand encounter with Israel. Among other activities, the trips include meetings with Members of Knesset, Foreign Ministry officials, recent immigrants, religious leaders, business, media and educational professionals, and members of the various ethnic communities in Israel. Since its inception, Project Interchange has sent over 4,000 United States and 350 international leaders to Israel. Project Interchange is a non-profit, non-political 501(c)3 organization that is funded by individual donors and private foundations.
