What is Professional Indemnity or Errors & Omissions insurance?
PI is an essential insurance that provides the Architect with cover for third party claims alleging loss arising from the provision of professional services. Members of the RIAI owe a ‘duty of care’ to their clients and any injury or loss suffered as a result of a breach of that duty can form the basis of a claim in negligence – not only from the client but also from third parties.
